Zero Ad Tracking
We do not run advertisements, third-party marketing beacons, or cross-site tracking cookies of any kind.
Local-Only Progress
Typing speed, accuracy scores, and badges stay strictly on your local device via standard browser LocalStorage.
No Account Required
Kids can jump straight into typing without entering names, birthdays, emails, or phone numbers.
1. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA)
Typing Practice Kids complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We do not knowingly collect, store, or sell any personally identifiable information (PII) from children under the age of 13. All student practice sessions, keystrokes, and speed scores are calculated locally in the browser runtime and are never uploaded to any remote server.
2. GDPR-K and European Data Protection
Under the European Union General Data Protection Regulation applied to kids (GDPR-K), we uphold the principle of data minimization by collecting zero personal data. We do not use third-party behavioral analytics or ad targeting SDKs.
3. Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)
Schools and districts may freely use Typing Practice Kids in computer labs and classrooms. Because no student rosters, grades, or personal identifiers are stored by our application, schools retain 100% control over their educational records.
4. Local Storage and Data Clearing
Your device uses browser LocalStorage to preserve high scores, lessons completed, and sound preference settings. Parents and teachers can permanently clear all stored data at any time by clearing browser cookies and site data, or by clicking "Reset Progress" within the app settings.
